At Plantforce, we’re proud to join Element 1, a BAM-led initiative introducing hydrogen as a cleaner fuel to reduce diesel use on construction sites. By adapting engines to run on 30-50% hydrogen, this project cuts emissions without replacing machinery, avoiding unnecessary waste.

Over two years, we’ll showcase these solutions on live sites, demonstrating hydrogen’s role in reducing fossil fuel reliance.

Towards a Zero Emissions Future

Design and demonstrate an end-to-end solution for the manufacture, supply, distribution, storage and use of hydrogen as a fuel.

Industrial Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) accounted
for 6.0 MtCO₂e, 8% of total industrial emissions in 2019.

Low carbon hydrogen will be critical to achieve net zero, particularly in “hard to electrify” UK industrial sectors, and across heat, power and transport.
