Sustainability starts from within. We are committed to continuously improving our operations, reducing waste, and transitioning to cleaner, more efficient solutions. Through but not limited to the following:
By taking responsibility for our own environmental impact, we are setting new standards for sustainability in our industry.
Decarbonisation
Reduce carbon emissions to limit global warming and its effects.
Circularity
Deliver circular products by maximising resource efficiency and eliminating waste.
Climate adaptation
Adapt the built environment to increase climate resilience.
Biodiversity
Improve the variety of life to enhance ecosystems.
Safety, health and inclusion
Foster safe, healthy and inclusive working and living environments.
Social value
Engage with communities to enhance peoples’ lives.
By prioritising low-emission and high-efficiency equipment, we help our customers reduce fuel consumption, lower operating costs, and minimise carbon footprints. Our strategy focuses on: Selecting machines with advanced fuel-saving technology. Investing in stage V-compliant engines and hybrid systems. Continuous testing and evaluation of the latest technology updated in the market.
We were the first company in the UK to run a high number of hybrid drive excavators, demonstrating our commitment to reducing emissions and fuel usage. Early adoptors of hybrid technology to optimise fuel efficiency. Trialing and implementing new machine models ahead of the market. Partnering with manufacturers to develop and test next-generation technology.
As future of construction machinery transitions away from fossil fuels, and we are actively investing in hybrid, electric and hydrogen driven plant equipment to drive a greener industry.
To ensure maximum efficiency and reliability, we operate a fleet with a consistently low age profile. This means: Regular investment in the latest models, keeping our fleet modern and technologically advanced. Minimising downtime and maintenance costs with newer, more reliable equipment. Ensuring complaince by giving our customers access to the most recent engine technology.
With our efforts to build a fleet of fuel efficient machines, it is even more important that we train the machine operators in how they can make these machines both productive and efficient. Our Eco-Operator Training Programme equips operators with the skills to drive efficiency and reduce emissions, ensuring our operations stay environmentally conscious. This is something that we provide to all of our operators, but we can also roll this out to our customer’s teams on-site using our purpose-built training trailer.
We believe in the power of partnership to drive change. By working closely with industry leaders, we innovate solutions that not only meet today’s needs but also anticipate the demands of tomorrow. Together, we’re redefining what’s possible in sustainability.
Our team are committed to providing eco-friendly solutions that help our customers achieve their project goals efficiently, responsibly and cost effectively.
Our strategy is built on three key principles: innovation, accountability, and impact. We are committed to reducing carbon emissions at the source, investing in cutting-edge technology, and working with our clients and supply chain partners to develop smarter, cleaner ways to operate.
My aspiration is simple: to ensure that Plantforce leads the industry in sustainability, not just by talking about it, but by proving that we can change the way plant hire works—making it cleaner, smarter, and better for the future. We don’t have all the answers, but we’re committed to continuous improvement, investing in innovation, and working collaboratively to find the best path forward.
