Plantforce Rentals Ltd is a leading UK plant hire provider supporting major construction, infrastructure and utilities projects nationwide. As part of our commitment to ethical and responsible business operations, we uphold the highest standards in combating modern slavery and human trafficking across our operations and supply chains.
Plantforce operates across the UK construction, infrastructure and utilities sectors. We recognise the Modern Slavery Act 2015 as a critical framework for defining and preventing forms of exploitation such as domestic servitude, sex trafficking, forced labour, bonded labour, child labour and forced marriage.
We are fully committed to ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place within our business or supply chains. While our internal assessment identifies a low overall risk, we adopt a zero‑tolerance approach and take proactive measures to prevent, detect and respond to potential risks.
Plantforce maintains a strong governance framework including:
Reflects all offence categories defined in the Act and explicitly prohibits all forms of labour exploitation.
Provides confidential reporting channels and protections for any individual raising concerns.
Ensure safe and ethical recruitment practices, including specific checks designed to prevent exploitation.
All policies are reviewed regularly to maintain alignment with legal and industry standards.
Our supply chain includes plant and machinery manufacturers, transport providers, fuel suppliers, PPE manufacturers and suppliers of consumables and professional services.
We have identified potential risk areas including:
Most of our suppliers operate within Europe, where the prevalence of modern slavery is statistically low, though continued vigilance is essential.
Our risk assessment methodology incorporates guidance such as the Global Slavery Index. Identified risks include:
Our due diligence processes include:
Verification that suppliers have modern slavery or CSR policies.
Where policies are unavailable, we request senior‑level written statements.
Concerns are investigated promptly and may lead to suspension or termination of supplier relationships.
Our training programmes help staff recognise signs of exploitation, including:
Plantforce maintains confidential internal channels for reporting suspected breaches. In emergencies or cases involving minors, emergency services must be contacted first.
We continually review and refine our approach to preventing modern slavery, strengthening our due diligence, updating training, and improving supplier oversight.
This statement has been approved by the Board and will be reviewed annually.
