Job Purpose:
As an experienced Workshop Controller, you will be instrumental in ensuring that the Plant repairs and services are carried out to a high standard, and in a timely manner.
You are the first point of contact for Workshop Management, and will coordinate and plan the response for Breakdowns, routine Maintenance and Services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide operational support to workshop teams by ensuring timely access to the information, resources, and parts required to complete maintenance, servicing, and repair activities efficiently.
- Coordinate the engagement of third-party repair contractors when required, including raising purchase orders, monitoring expenditure, and approving invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all servicing, repairs, maintenance schedules, and equipment history to support compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Manage the end-to-end parts procurement process, including sourcing the most cost-effective and suitable options, placing orders, tracking deliveries, and completing goods receipting processes.
- Administer and maintain the internal repair management system, ensuring all maintenance and repair activities are correctly recorded, monitored, and reported.
- Investigate and manage damage-related repairs, including identifying chargeable items, sourcing replacement components, processing repair costs, and raising customer invoices where applicable.
- Liaise with the Hire Desk to coordinate equipment availability to minimise operational disruption and maximise fleet utilisation.

Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a service and maintenance control role
- Logical approach to prioritising and with great problem-solving skills.
- Well organized, proactive and committed to high quality work and standards.
