At Plantforce, we are committed to having a positive impact in the communities where we are both based and operate.
We recognise that our company’s success is linked to the health of our local communities, and so we strive to make a positive difference through our work. We are committed to engaging with our customers and local communities, to ensure our activities have a positive impact on people’s lives. We also strive to provide our customers with the best possible service, so that they can benefit from our work in the local area.
We understand that our work, and the people we work with, can have a lasting and positive effect on the communities we serve.
The Community Team is a dedicated group from across all our depots who work together to lead our social impact efforts. From fundraising and volunteering to supporting local initiatives, the team helps drive meaningful change in the communities where we live and work. They play a key role in identifying causes that matter, organising activities, and encouraging everyone in the business to get involved.
Each year, every member of the team is given the opportunity to take part in a paid volunteering day during working hours. These annual volunteering days are a chance for our people to step away from their usual roles and contribute time and energy to our chosen charities. Whether it’s supporting local hospice shops, helping out at community events, or getting hands-on with a project, it’s our way of giving back while building a stronger connection with the causes that matter most to us.
Our Community Team leads our efforts to support local initiatives, charities, schools, and community events. From organising fundraisers to volunteering and building partnerships with local causes.
We’re proud to support a variety of charities and organisations, including Children’s Hospice South West, Macmillan Cancer Support, Cancer Research UK, and more. We also get involved in community events, sports sponsorships, and local school initiatives.
Absolutely! We welcome suggestions from employees, customers, and community members. If you have a cause close to your heart, get in touch with our Community Team, we’re always open to new ideas.
Whether you’re part of our team wanting to volunteer or a local group looking to partner with us, we’d love to hear from you. We regularly share upcoming opportunities to get involved on our internal channels and social media.
Plantforce has an inclusive culture where differences are valued, and individuality is fully embraced. One of the ways we support this is by creating an ethos that encourages our staff to identify ways we can deliver a positive impact in the communities we operate.
