The 5% Club

The 5% Club is a UK-based employer-led initiative committed to increasing the number of people in ‘earn and learn’ positions, such as apprenticeships and graduate training schemes, to build a skilled and socially mobile workforce.

We have pledged to have 5% of our workforce in such roles within five years.

Supply Chain Sustainability School – An industry where everyone possesses the skills and knowledge to achieve a sustainable future.

We have had to ensure a suitable number of employees have signed up to and are active within the school; using learning tools, updating progress assessments, sharing knowledge with the school and writing case studies.

ISO 9001 – Quality Management System

ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and is the only internationally recognised standard for quality management. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and engagement of top management, the process approach and continual improvement all of which align with the core values of Plantforce. Accreditation to ISO 9001 helps us ensure that customers get consistent, good-quality products and services.

ISO 14001 – Environmental management system certification

ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for environmental management, it aids in marking the framework that our environmental management system is built on to ensure that it is effective. ISO 14001 provides assurance to company management, employees and external stakeholders that environmental impact is being measured, monitored and improved.

ISO 45001 – Occupational health and safety management system certification

ISO 45001 specifies the requirements for an effective occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system and assures Plantforce that our provisions to provide a safe and healthy workplace are suitable and sufficient by preventing work-related injury and ill health, as well as by proactively improving our OH&S performance. The ISO 45001 framework directs our management system to establish, implement and maintain continual improvement in occupational health and safety, eliminating hazards and minimising OH&S risks and take advantage of OH&S opportunities.

ISO 50001 – Energy Management System Certification

ISO 50001 gives the necessary guidance to establish an effective energy management system and is based on the management system model of continual improvement. This makes it easy for Plantforce to integrate energy management into our overall efforts to improve quality and environmental management topics. ISO 50001 provides us the requirements to maintain a policy for more efficient use of energy, set and fix targets and objectives for energy efficiency, use data to better understand and make decisions about energy use, measure the results, review how well the policy works, and continually improve energy management.

Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme

The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for fleet operators.

FORS aims to drive up standards within fleet operations and demonstrate which operators are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency and environmental protection.

RISQS is run by the industry, for the industry – so you can be sure that we have the best interests of rail buyers and suppliers in mind.

We have over 90 buyer members, including Network Rail and Transport for London.
We help them do business with confidence – by finding the right suppliers, with the right capabilities, at the right time. We also have more than 4,000 supplier members – we help them demonstrate their capabilities and give them visibility.
