Job Purpose:

To ensure the daily accuracy of the digital division, the national upkeep of our systems, including hire records and charges, on and off hire requests and hire contracts in our plant management system.

This is a varied job that requires great customer service and the ability to work on your own initiative. As it is a busy environment, you will need to be experienced in working in hire control and work well under pressure

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage hire requests (on and off hire) and create hire contracts on the Hire system.
  • Coordinate and liaise with Customers, Fitters, Transport, Sales and the Workshop.
  • Monitoring and organising contracts and invoicing.
  • Working with customers to develop relationships
  • Checking availability of equipment and ensuring that details are accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure that the chargeable damages process is completed in a timely manner. 
  • Generate purchase orders for parts and subcontractors.
  • Assisting with stock control, ensuring appropriate re-ordering as required.
  • Manage installation, repair and maintenance job allocation for Digital engineers.
  • Contribute to the efficiency of the business by identifying and implementing improved administrative processes and procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Full Driving Licence

Beneficial skills and qualifications:

  • Experience working in a plant equipment/plant hire environment.
  • Experience of the Syrinx system is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
