HR Assistant – Weston Super Mare (Head Office)

Providing support to the HR Manager and working closely with our Payroll team, you’ll have the opportunity to gain practical experience across various HR functions, from recruitment to learning and development, with opportunities for training and professional growth.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing support to the HR Manager and Payroll Team
- Management of the entire employee life cycle, including recruitment
- Preparing and issuing job offer packs, completing onboarding checks and HR inductions.
- First point of contact for HR administration queries
- Liaise with Payroll, Fleet, IT and Finance to ensure all relevant notifications are given to appropriate departments
- Processing of changes to contractual terms accurately and in a timely manner
- Ensure all documents are filed and recorded correctly and accurately
- Handling employee and line manager queries, escalating to the HR Manager where required
- Ensure appropriate authorisation of all employee changes
- Confident in communicating at all levels
- Note taker in meetings
- Ad-hoc reporting, able to use HR information system to access, input and compile data
Key skills:
- Previous administration experience, ideally gained in an HR environment
- A good understanding of GDPR and working in a team environment where personal data is kept confidential and secure
- Professional, personable and approachable
- Strong organisational skills
- Proficient in the use of IT
- Excellent attention to detail
- A positive “can do” approach
- Effective communication skills
- Self-starter with proactive approach

- Already gained, or wish to work towards the Level 3 CIPD Qualification
