April 2023

Welcome to our 1st edition of News Flash!

As Plantforce continues to grow, I know that it can sometimes feel like there are lots of new people that we haven’t met yet, or that there are things happening in other depots and divisions that we need to communicate.

You also told me in our last Employee Survey that you wanted to hear more news from around the business.

So here we go!  We plan to bring you some short updates as we go through the year.

Hopefully, you find them interesting, and I would love to hear what else you would like included in future editions.

Warm regards,

Claire

IT Systems Update

Project Future Proof IT

The objective of this project is to modernise and future proof our IT Infrastructure and Security.

The changes being made will provide the business with a Faster and more Secure IT platform, creating the solid foundations required for us to build a modern thriving business with great data insights.

This will open the gates with what our future capabilities can be, allowing the business to place a BIG tick in the box for IT systems when tendering for large government contracts.

Please keep an eye out for more detailed communications over the coming weeks.

If you have any questions or concerns, then please feel free to reach out to me to discuss.

Regards,

John Beamson

Joanna_Smith

New Starter: Joanna Smith – Business Development Mgr (Midlands)

I have been in the construction hire industry for about 20 years hiring Portable accommodation, powered access, plant and tools. I have worked for companies such as Hewden, Elliott Hire and GAP

If I wasn’t working for Plantforce my dream job would be to be an actress.

I got married in June last year finally after 2 postponed covid dates. I am Mum/Step mum to boys and have a nearly 1 year old granddaughter so I am a Glam-ma! My hobbies include running round after all of them and all things true crime.

Ben_Cook

New Starter: Ben Cook – Engineer (Midlands)

After leaving school, I became a car mechanic.  I have really enjoyed working on engines but always wanted to get into the heavy machinery industry.

If I wasn’t in the mechanical industry then I believe I would have become a estate agent, as I have a keen interest in buying and selling houses.

In summer I play cricket, touring once a year with the club! I also like playing golf when I have the time and football during winter.

Kate_Sparey

New Starter: Kate Sparey – HR & Payroll (Weston)

Hi I’m Kate,  I have previously worked in pensions and payroll so this is something new and familiar at the same time. Prior to joining Plantforce I worked for a recycling company. I live local to the Weston depot with my husband and 2 children. We enjoy nothing more than a lazy weekend, which isn’t great for my running! I started running again in January and I have signed up for my first half marathon event this year.
